    The Beaches
  • The local beach, just 200 metres from the apartments, with beach chairs and umbrellas.
  • ‘Chrissi Ammos’ or “Mati” beach with golden sand and crystal waters.
  • Finikounta: a beautiful beach adjacent to a picturesque fishing village, with many cafés and tavernas right on the beach.
  • Voidokelia “ox’s belly’ bay. The perfect half-circle shaped beach with golden sand and blue-green waters is a must see.
  • The sandy beach of “Yialova” (a popular village 6 km north of Pylos) featuring a shipwreck. Also offering windsurfing and canoe rental.
  • Divari – a beautiful lagoon, home to many species of unique birds and fish.
  • The beautiful beach of Romanos.
  • Or choose from the various small and large beaches between Methoni and Finikounta (‘Lambes’ being the most famous).

    Sightseeing
  • Get on-board the small, local boats to have a tour of the bay, visit the small island of Sfaktiria and see for yourself the monuments and wrecks from the battle of 1827. Some stories for treasures in the wrecks still go around!
  • The castle of Pylos “Niokastro” is very well preserved and worth visiting. The local museum has many artifacts from the area.
  • Visit Methoni: A nearby (10 km) town with one of the biggest and most impressive castles of Greece, separated by the mainland by a ditch. To visit it you must cross the breath taking, 14 arrowed bridge.
  • Visit Koroni: A seaside town with narrow streets and houses that remind visitors of the middle ages. Explore the Venetian castle with well preserved interior.
  • Ancient Οlympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games is just an 1,5 hour drive.
  • Wildlife & rare animals: The egyptian (african) chameleon which dwells only in the nearby Diveri Lagoon and Nile River of Egypt and is considered a highly endangered species. Recent reports also state that many beaches of Pylos serve as a birth area for the famous Careta–Careta sea turtle.
